Payroll Implementation Manager | United Kingdom

Overview

In this role you will oversee the end-to-end implementation and data migration of Deel’s payroll solutions for clients. You’ll lead cross-functional onboarding, configure systems, and guide clients through setup and go-live transitions. You’ll partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate data transfer, compliant processes, and successful project delivery. Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll system implementation and data migration for clients
• Plan, coordinate and run kickoff meetings and project rollout
• Manage client communications, scope changes and delivery schedules
• Define payroll processes, data requirements and calendars
• Configure interfaces, reports and system settings for parallel and live payroll
• Prepare go-live sign-off, documentation and validation activities
• Generate and audit payroll reports; map GL reports if needed
• Maintain detailed project documentation and regular leadership updates
• Perform risk management, issue escalation and cross-functional coordination
• Support testing, change management, and user training during onboarding

Key requirements

• 5+ years in global payroll implementation or payroll operations
• Experience with payroll systems and software
• Client-facing project management experience across multiple projects
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
