Overview

In this role you will lead NEC-based project management commissions within the Real Estate team, ensuring delivery on time, budget and quality standards. You will act as the main client interface, translating objectives into actionable plans and governance. You’ll manage projects of varying scale (up to £40m routinely; larger when advisory work is involved) and guide cross‑functional teams. You’ll shape project strategy, procurement, risk and governance to achieve client outcomes and value. This is a collaborative, client-focused role in a global firm that values delivery excellence and impactful projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management commissions and service delivery
  • Serve as day-to-day client interface to ensure objectives are met
  • Deliver projects to time, cost and quality targets across varying scales
  • Provide strategic input at project conception and establish success criteria
  • Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environment aspects
  • Set up governance, processes and systems for the project lifecycle
  • Prepare detailed project plans and oversee procurement of resources
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and monitor performance via KPIs
  • Manage change control and project finances
  • Facilitate information flow with the client and other consultants; produce progress reports
  • Interface with client and consultants at all project stages

Key requirements

  • Degree qualified in relevant discipline
  • Proven experience managing construction/refurbishment projects (ideally in consultancy)
  • Solid working knowledge of the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC)
