Head of Finance Platform and Control

Overview

In this role you lead finance platform, control, audit, tax and operations to reshape finance for an AI-enabled, software-driven world. You’ll build a product-like finance function, partnering with engineering to automate processes while ensuring audit-readiness and regulatory compliance. You’ll drive the transformation roadmap, oversee cross-functional interfaces, and develop a high-performing team that scales with the business. This is a strategic position at a fast-growing company focused on responsible AI and impactful financial design.

Responsibilities

• Own the full finance platform, including month-end close, audit, compliance, intercompany, and reconciliations toward autonomous operations
• Lead tax and treasury with high judgement responsibilities
• Oversee AP/AR operations and royalties, including Tipalti and bank reconciliation
• Design a controls framework embedded in workflows to ensure audit-readiness
• Partner with Platform Integrations to define future-state processes and automation
• Report to the CFO and collaborate with engineering/product to apply product-like finance process design

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant with experience owning close, audits, and international compliance and tax complexity
• Track record of redesigning finance processes toward automation or system embedding
• Experience applying AI or automation tools in finance with discernment of where human judgement is needed
• Experience leading and developing finance teams over time
• Working knowledge of finance tech stacks and integrations (NetSuite, Tipalti, or equivalents)
