As a Cost Manager in our Manchester Real Estate team, you guide clients and design teams to deliver best-value outcomes on iconic Northwest projects. You’ll blend commercial insight with hands-on cost management across procurement, tendering, valuations, and post-contract cost reporting. You’ll collaborate with conservators, architects and engineers to balance quality and cost. This role offers the chance to shape cost strategy on high-profile projects within a global professional services firm.

Responsibilities
- Assist on feasibility studies and prepare procurement reports
- Estimate and cost plan, including final cost plan presentation
- Tendering and procurement management, including pre-qualification
- Manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes
- Own cost checks and valuations on larger projects with timely reporting
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports for clients
- Contribute to value engineering initiatives
- Negotiate and agree final accounts
- Interface with client and other consultants throughout project stages
Key requirements
- Proven track record delivering cost management/quantity surveying across the full project lifecycle
- Professionally qualified (RICS or similar) (preferred)
- Degree or HNC level qualification
