Overview
In this role you drive growth in the Europe Nuclear sector by owning and optimizing capture and positioning strategies for major opportunities. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, develop winning strategies, and nurture client relationships to secure transformative programmes. The role combines leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration across global and regional lines to deliver growth aligned with AECOM’s priorities. This is a high-impact, client‑centred leadership opportunity with remote flexibility.

Responsibilities
- Lead and win enterprise critical pursuits (ECP/Tier 2) as Capture Lead from identification to submission
- Direct discovery, pre-positioning, differentiation, and delivery strategies for major transformative programmes and renewals
- Own pursuit governance, bid budgets, team composition, and supply chain selection
- Develop holistic capture plans including client listening, win strategy, and marcomms planning from inception to lessons learned
- Establish and nurture client relationships to identify bespoke needs and validate solutions
- Analyze competitive landscapes to refine capture strategies and maintain a diversified pipeline
- Collaborate with global/regional leaders to align growth plans with strategic priorities
- Coordinate with Client Account Managers and Market Sector Leaders to deliver capture outcomes that meet client expectations
Key requirements
- Experience in capture management, strategic bids or business development in engineering/major infrastructure
- Good understanding of the UK nuclear market, clients and procurement routes
- Experience coordinating complex multi-stakeholder pursuits
- Knowledge of capture planning, opportunity qualification, competitive positioning and bid management best practice
- Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent communication, facilitation and organisational abilities
- Commercial awareness with ability to understand client drivers, contracts and risks
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver outcomes
