Junior Solution Engineer – Investment Management

Overview

In this role you help define and deliver product demos for a top fintech client, building prototype solutions using Python and Java. You’ll gather customer needs and bridge business and technical stakeholders, supporting RFIs/RFPs and representing the product at trade shows. This junior position emphasizes potential over experience, offering exposure to trading and asset management domains. You’ll join a fast-paced, open, and collaborative technical environment in Central London, with room to grow.

Responsibilities

• Define, build and deliver product demos coordinated by the Sales team
• Develop prototype solutions using Python and Java
• Capture and organize customer requirements
• Facilitate communication between business and technical stakeholders
• Contribute to RFIs/RFPs responses with the sales team
• Promote the company’s products at trade shows

Key requirements

• 2:1 degree in Computer Science, Maths, Physics or Chemistry from a red-brick UK or EU university
• Some enterprise software development experience
• Proficiency in Java and Python
• Understanding of computing fundamentals, OOP, threading, concurrency and distributed systems
• Experience in a similar role for a software vendor or financial institution in a relevant domain (Risk, Trading Operations)
• Genuine interest in technologies and how they empower business users to analyze data
