In this role you will service and maintain lift equipment for a high-profile London contract, focusing on preventative maintenance and reliability. You will work nights as part of a shift pattern, ensuring safe, compliant operation and reducing downtime. You’ll diagnose faults, perform minor repairs, and document service activities to uphold safety standards. Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment including minor repairs and component replacements per company procedures
- Rectify faults and verify correct functioning after interventions
- Monitor speed, start/stop, noise, temperature, and power supply using approved tooling and PPE
- Perform routine inspections and reinstatement of lifts with complete service documentation
- Conduct fault finding and diagnostics with technical manuals and test equipment, restoring service
- Interpret written/graphic information to perform tasks accurately
Key requirements
- Experience in lift servicing/maintenance/repairs (preferred)
- NVQ level 3 minimum in lift maintenance or equivalent
- Advanced electrical and mechanical knowledge including multi-brand equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving license
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Ability to work independently with a flexible approach
- Good communication skills with clients and inspectors
- Manual dexterity and use of hand/power tools
