Overview
As an Associate Director in Deloitte’s Fair Pay practice, you will lead client engagements on complex pay-related compliance and strategy. You’ll shape advisory services across NMW/NLW, pay gap, equal pay, and related areas, while developing client relationships and guiding junior staff. You’ll identify risks, propose practical solutions, and help clients navigate evolving legislation and policies. Responsibilities
- Provide specialist NMW/NLW advisory across complex pay structures and deductions
- Conduct health checks and risk assessments to identify non-compliance and propose solutions
- Support HMRC investigations and prepare detailed submissions and settlements
- Develop and implement robust compliance policies, processes and internal controls
- Assist with due diligence for corporate transactions involving Fair Pay
- Research case law and monitor legislation to translate into practical client advice
- Build and maintain client relationships and lead or participate in client meetings
- Support business development and create proposals for NMW and fair pay services
- Deliver internal and external training sessions on NMW and fair pay topics
- Foster an inclusive team culture and mentor junior colleagues
Key requirements
- Strong understanding of current legislation relating to fair pay and employment law
- Ability to analyse legislation and apply it to client scenarios
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and work under pressure
- Client engagement and management experience with a track record of business development
- Strong commercial acumen and adaptability to changing external environment
