Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of major highways projects
• Drive smarter, safer, and more efficient design solutions
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and project teams
• Influence project delivery at scale and shape technical decisions
• Manage projects from local schemes to national programs with cross-functional collaboration
• Apply knowledge of design standards and safety requirements to ensure compliant solutions
• Oversee financial management and control of projects

Key requirements

• Degree in engineering / CEng / IEng or equivalent
• Experience delivering local and/or major highways projects
• Ability to lead small project teams and support technical development
• Strong understanding of DMRB or international design standards
• Knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and safety culture
• Experience in financial management and control of projects
