Overview
As a Wealth Planner, you will help clients shape their financial futures through tailored planning and investment guidance. You’ll work with new and existing clients to understand goals and deliver bespoke solutions that align with their needs. You’ll collaborate across functions to ensure a seamless client journey through both digital channels and adviser support, driving meaningful, long-term relationships. Your role supports the Mass Affluent segment, aiming to close the UK Advice Gap with responsible risk management and compliant guidance.
Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships to identify financial goals, challenges and risk tolerance; analyze data from portfolios and cash flows to identify trends and opportunities
- Research client industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competition to inform strategic recommendations
- Design customised solutions using the bank’s products and services to meet client objectives
- Communicate value propositions, justify recommendations, and negotiate terms benefiting both client and bank
- Provide guidance on financial decisions, offering expert investment advice, risk management and wealth strategies
- Assess financial, legal and operational risks and implement measures to minimise losses
- Document all client interactions and transactions for transparency and auditability
- Monitor client satisfaction and revenue metrics to evaluate effectiveness
- Collaborate with Wealth Acquisition and other teams to ensure a seamless client experience
- Utilise digital tools and platforms to enhance client engagement and stay aligned with market trends
Key requirements
- recognised financial planning qualification at RDR Level 4 or above
- Working knowledge of financial markets, products and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to explain complex topics clearly to clients
- Proficiency with digital tools to support client conversations
- Careful risk identification and management with strong compliance standards
- Experience engaging with internal teams and external networks to grow relationships (valued)
- Broad exposure to Financial Services, especially retail regulated products and asset management (valued)
- Familiarity with pensions, investment advice and UK taxation (valued)
