Quality Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will own quality across production and NPI projects within an automotive manufacturing environment. You will act as the bridge between clients and manufacturing, ensuring compliance and driving robust control plans. You will lead structured problem-solving to address customer, supplier, and internal quality issues, and you will base decisions on data and statistical analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and OEM customers to maintain KPI integrity and improve quality standards. This is a chance to shape end-to-end quality at a site focused on advanced manufacturing and supplier collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3
• Define QC methods, gauging systems, control plans and handle IMDS submissions for NPI
• Lead root cause investigations using 8D methodology across customers, suppliers and internal issues
• Perform data analysis, process capability studies and MSA to support fact-based decisions
• Manage OEM customer portals, monitor quality KPIs and nurture key relationships

Key requirements

• Practical automotive/high-spec manufacturing quality experience
• Proven 8D problem solving, MSA, SPC and control plan management
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 and IMDS submissions
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with a collaborative mindset
