Quality Engineer

Overview

In this role you will support the Quality Manager and Calibration function at the Ramsgate facility to ensure compliance with aerospace standards and internal procedures. You will lead and participate in audits, maintain calibration and authorisation systems, and drive corrective actions. The role sits at the core of quality assurance and regulatory compliance, working with cross-functional teams to sustain high service levels. You will contribute to continuous improvement and training delivery, shaping robust quality processes at scale.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality approvals (AS9100, AS9110, EASA 145, FAA and foreign approvals)
• Host external audits by customers, regulators, and interested parties
• Conduct internal and supplier audits per schedule
• Maintain calibration system to meet regulatory requirements
• Maintain authorisation control system (Stamps)
• Ensure NDT staff authorisations meet EN4179 requirements
• Maintain training records and organise events
• Lead non-conformance investigations and drive CAPA
• Lead product and system failure investigations using appropriate tools
• Document processes, procedures, local instructions and forms
• Deliver training for regulatory requirements
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies and safe working practices
• Maximise service levels for customers and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure mandatory training compliance for staff
