Prison Officer — Impactful Public Safety Career

The Ministry of Justice is recruiting prison officers in the United Kingdom. Applicants must meet Civil Service nationality rules, be at least 18, and pass medical, fitness, eyesight and hearing assessments. Stage 1 online tests, then VBA, then OAC precede job offers.

Initial training is 37 hours per week, with options to work 37, 39, or 41 hours after training and annual salary updates accordingly. Salary scales are shown for 37, 39, and 41 hours per week (£37,928; £39,816; £42,334 per year).
