Overview

In this role you will lead risk management for major and multinational clients within QBE’s Property Risk Solutions team. You will serve as the main risk partner to internal underwriters and large clients, guiding risk analysis, reduction programs, and underwriting decisions. You’ll drive risk improvement across high-hazard environments, collaborate with global teams, and contribute to product and tool enhancements. This is a remote-friendly opportunity to shape risk strategies for a diverse portfolio and strengthen client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of major and multinational clients to support long-term risk improvement and retention
  • Primary point of contact for key client accounts, coordinating risk management activities
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, underwriters, and internal stakeholders
  • Lead planning, scheduling and delivery of client risk management activities (site visits, programme reviews)
  • Provide technical risk management expertise and recommendations to support client outcomes
  • Oversee cross-class risk solutions and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor and report risk management activity, performance, costs and benefits using systems and data
  • Collaborate with London Market and regional offices to support portfolio and major client objectives
  • Contribute to product development, industry sector solutions, and enhancement of risk management tools and platforms
  • Represent QBE at client meetings, industry events, and professional forums

Key requirements

  • Chemical Engineering background and experience in risk management in an insurance-related role
