Overview

Platform Engineer at Dojo leads end-to-end platform initiatives to design, build and operate scalable, secure cloud foundations. You will empower engineering teams with self-service capabilities and robust automation, shaping a reliable payments infrastructure. You’ll work across compute, networking, identity, and data to improve reliability, security, and observability. This role offers high-impact ownership and collaboration with security and engineering peers to drive meaningful platform improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Own major platform initiatives end to end, delivering measurable outcomes across core infrastructure
  • Design, build, and operate reusable cloud capabilities across compute, networking, identity, and data
  • Create secure self-service patterns and clear platform interfaces for developers
  • Lead workload modernisations and migrations onto supported cloud platforms
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering and security teams to establish guardrails, drive adoption, and mentor engineers
  • Participate in a compensated on-call rotation, resolving complex technical challenges and turning incident learnings into better automation and resilience

Key requirements

  • Proven production experience designing, operating, and taking technical ownership of scalable cloud-native platforms
  • Deep cloud-native expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and public cloud environments (GCP or AWS)
  • Strong software engineering skills in Go, C#, or TypeScript applied to production tooling or automation
  • Experience with GitOps, ArgoCD, and CI/CD pipelines with automated policy guardrails
  • Solid knowledge of distributed systems and networking, including service mesh (Istio), edge technologies (Cloudflare), IAM, and observability
  • Strong technical judgement and collaborative communication, with developer empathy and the ability to articulate trade-offs clearly
