Overview
In this role you drive UK defence BD for Leidos, shaping growth with the MOD and Defence clients. You will lead multi-functional pursuit teams, build senior-level relationships, and position Leidos as a strategic partner. You will manage a medium-to-long term pipeline and steer campaigns that win substantial contracts. Your work fuels the UK NS&D strategy and supports cutting-edge defence capabilities.

Responsibilities
- Plan and lead BD activities to contribute to annual award targets
- Develop and manage a 2–5 year opportunity pipeline aligned to UK strategy
- Cultivate senior Defence client relationships to position Leidos as a strategic supplier
- Guide bid teams in shaping campaigns and proposing differentiated client propositions
- Identify and qualify opportunities that match Leidos strengths
- Lead and execute significant UK Defence campaigns
- Collaborate effectively in a multi-functional team and communicate clearly
- Engage stakeholders across clients and partners to secure follow-on wins
Key requirements
- Substantial experience selling into the UK Defence market
- Existing client relationships in the UK MOD
- Track record of year-on-year business growth and meeting targets
- Experience leading and winning contracts valued >£25m
- Knowledge of Government BD, procurement trends, customer buying behaviours
- Experience winning work on frameworks and scaling follow-on awards
- Proven ability to create compelling bids with partners
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal skills, and negotiation ability
- Tenacity to maintain momentum across multiple pursuits
