Senior Water Network Modeller

Overview

In this role you will lead the delivery of water network modelling across UK clean water programmes, translating complex hydraulic analyses into practical solutions. You collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to support feasibility, optioneering and investment planning, while mentoring colleagues and advancing digital modelling capabilities. You’ll work on high-impact projects that strengthen network resilience and reduce leakage, within Stantec’s collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of water network modelling projects across multiple frameworks
• Develop, calibrate and analyse hydraulic models using InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater Pro, Synergi Water or equivalents
• Deliver studies on network optimisation, leakage reduction, pressure management and resilience
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to develop practical engineering solutions
• Support project planning, technical reviews and delivery of high-quality modelling outputs
• Mentor junior modellers and share knowledge across the team
• Contribute to continuous improvement of modelling processes and digital delivery

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or related discipline
• Experience delivering water network modelling projects in the UK water sector
• Strong knowledge of InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater Pro, Synergi Water or equivalent
• Experience leading the technical delivery of modelling projects
• Good understanding of network optimisation, leakage management and pressure management
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience mentoring or supporting development of junior engineers or modellers
