Senior Payroll Specialist

Overview

In this role you will lead the monthly payroll cycle for a large multi-entity group, acting as the main escalation point for complex queries. You will ensure full compliance across pay, tax, pensions, benefits and employment law, while supporting transformation, automation and process improvements. You will coach and develop the payroll team and collaborate with People, Finance and external partners to resolve matters efficiently. This is a hands-on opportunity within a collaborative, growth‑minded payroll function.

Key requirements

• Proven background managing complex or high‑volume payrolls
• Strong knowledge of pay, tax, pensions and statutory requirements
• Confident using iTrent, Sage and advanced Excel
• Leadership experience with the ability to support and develop others
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
