Overview
In this Senior Account Manager role, you drive crisis and issues work for retained accounts within a global agency, guiding live responses, playbooks, and stakeholder communications. You will lead client coordination and cross-team activity, while coaching junior staff and identifying new business opportunities. The role sits in the Crisis and Issues team within Corporate Affairs, supporting diverse clients through high-stakes reputational challenges. You’ll work across markets, leveraging a strong writing and advisory skillset to protect and recover client reputations.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the trusted client and crisis contact, driving day-to-day activity and coordinating account teams
- Respond to live enquiries on retained accounts, with senior support
- Create and participate in crisis simulations and tabletop exercises
- Lead crisis communications materials including playbooks and response plans
- Draft crisis/issues materials for various stakeholder groups
- Coordinate with clients and manage during live crisis activations
- Monitor, report, and analyze live incidents
- Identify new business opportunities and participate in presentations/pitches
- Contribute to client budgets, including tracking and billing
- Develop and coach junior crisis and accounts team members
Key requirements
- Experience handling crises, issues, or incidents
- Agency environment experience
- Exceptional writer for crisis/incident contexts
- Confident client counsel and trusted relationships
- Strategic thinker with understanding of business contexts
- Right to work in the UK and ability to work in Bankside office 3 days p/week
