We are currently representing a well-established, award-winning architectural practice with a history spanning almost 150 years. With a team of over 75 professionals across multiple UK offices, they combine the experience and resources of a national practice with the ambition and collaborative culture of a modern design business.
Following the opening of their new Central Birmingham office, they are now seeking an ambitious Associate Architect to join the growing team of 4 and play a key role in shaping the studio’s future.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Architect looking to step up into an Associate-level position, or an existing Associate seeking greater responsibility and the opportunity to help establish and develop a regional office. Working closely with the Birmingham Partner, the successful individual will take a leading role in project delivery, team leadership, client development and the day-to-day running of the studio.
The practice works across a diverse range of sectors, including Education, Healthcare, Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Science and Research, Sport and Leisure, Arts and Culture, and Heritage. Its portfolio includes major university and research facilities, large-scale residential developments, healthcare environments, schools and complex heritage projects, ranging from smaller commissions through to significant multi-million-pound schemes.
Recent projects include a 34-storey residential development, major education schemes and the restoration and decarbonisation of Grade II listed buildings.
The role will combine hands-on project leadership with the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the Birmingham studio. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing relationships across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands, supporting business development and helping establish the office as a key part of the practice’s national network. For the right individual, there is also potential for future progression to Partner level.
