Overview

Senior Security Architect – Manager at a leading technology consultancy, driving secure solution design for Government, Defence and Public Sector programmes. You will shape security architectures, lead client engagements and translate requirements into practical designs. You’ll guide security controls and approaches, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with vendors to secure external systems. The role emphasizes cloud, DevSecOps and secure deployment, with senior stakeholder leadership across complex environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop security architectures, patterns and technical security solutions
  • Lead security engagements with specialists across Identity, Security Testing, Privacy and Cyber
  • Translate business and security requirements into practical technical designs
  • Communicate and justify security decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Develop security principles, controls and approaches aligned to standards/regulatory frameworks
  • Conduct security assessments, threat/risk assessments, vulnerability assessments and audits
  • Advise clients on security controls and emerging technologies
  • Collaborate with vendors/third parties to secure external systems and data exchanges
  • Contribute to secure cloud, DevSecOps and automated deployment approaches

Key requirements

  • Proven experience as a Security Architect or in a closely related role
  • Experience in a technology consultancy, systems integrator or professional services environment
  • Strong understanding of ISO 27001, NIST or CIS
  • Experience with threat modelling and risk assessment
  • Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, authentication and access control
  • Experience with firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS and vulnerability assessment tools
  • Understanding of cloud security across AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD and automated deployment
  • Experience engaging with senior technical and business stakeholders
  • Architecture methodology experience such as TOGAF or SABSA
