Overview

In this leadership role, you will steer international procurement to align with regional priorities across Europe and APAC. You’ll act as a strategic partner to executives, driving centralized sourcing, contract negotiations, and category strategies that support sustainable, value-driven outcomes. You will shape the function from an operational focus to a strategic advisory unit, ensuring compliance and effective stakeholder management. This position offers impact across multiple geographies within a matrixed, global organization and emphasizes ROI, risk, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Global Procurement leaders to implement standard processes, policies, and tools
  • Advise business unit heads (HR, Legal, IT, Marketing) with clear, finance-grounded recommendations
  • Transform International procurement into a strategic, centralized function and act as a business advisor
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and ensure policy/compliance alignment across the organization
  • Represent Strategic Sourcing across International orgs, providing guidance and expertise
  • Define category strategies across local, regional, and global segments, assessing vendor concentration risk and consolidation opportunities
  • Set annual targets, lead continuous improvement projects, and measure program competitiveness
  • Foster an inclusive culture of productivity, innovation, and customer service
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across International spaces with visibility on projects, value creation, and spend
  • Coordinate with broader Strategic Sourcing Group to align International with global strategy
  • Keep Source-to-Pay leadership informed of progress and issues
  • Mentor and develop a small team of junior buyers across geographies

Key requirements

  • 7+ years of leadership in Sourcing and business operations, including global sourcing
  • Strong IT contracts experience
  • Procurement process re-engineering experience
  • Experience working with cross-geographical teams (India, Europe, APAC)
  • Leadership in negotiation strategies and oversight of procurement programs for diverse products/services
  • Ability to influence and improve processes across business lines
  • Partnership building with internal/external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills to present business cases and drive engagement
