Training & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- 4 GCSE’s at grade D or above in English language, Maths and 2 other subjects.
- Able to undertake the Buttercups Dispensing Couse if not already in possession of the qualification.
- To be able to achieve competencies for job role including in house training and validations.
Desirable criteria
- Possession of or working towards NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services and BTEC or a Buttercups Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to perform and work under pressure
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a Pharmacy environment
- Proven customer service experience.
Communication and relationship skills
Essential criteria
- Able to communicate clear verbally and electronically within a team.
- Good telephone manner
Desirable criteria
- Adaptable to change
Analytical skills
Essential criteria
- Accurate with good attention to detail
- Able to follow instructions and standard operating procedures
- Ability to work accurately and sustain concentration over short to prolonged periods
Desirable criteria
- Demonstrate the ability to work and concentrate whilst coping with interruption and distraction.
Planning and Orgainisational skills
Essential criteria
- Able to prioritise tasks in accordance with department needs.
- Demonstrate ability to multi‑task
Physical skills
Essential criteria
- Computer literate with good general keyboard skills.
- Ability to stand/sit for long periods and exert moderate physical exercise
Other requirements
Essential criteria
- Flexibility to participate in general Pharmacy Dispensary duties, including the 7‑day shifted working rota and Bank Holidays rota.
- Cross campus working
- Must have the ability to wear appropriate PPE required for the role
