We are seeking an experienced CDE Manager (Common Data Environment Manager) to oversee the implementation, management, and governance of the project’s Common Data Environment. The CDE Manager will ensure that project information is securely managed, accurately controlled, easily accessible, and delivered in accordance with project requirements, information management standards, and agreed processes.The role will work closely with project managers, design teams, document controllers and BIM teams.
1. Document & revision controlUnderstand the difference between documents, records, templates, & transmittal informationEstablish & maintain document referencing & naming conventionsManage revisions, versions, statuses, & suitabilityUnderstand supersession & document historyMaintain an auditable record of document developmentManage controlled distribution & notificationRecover, investigate, & rectify upload, revision, or supersession errors
2. System administrationConfigure projects, organisations, users, roles, & permissionsEstablish & maintain permission / access groupsConfigure enterprise & project level settingsManage user onboarding, transfers, deactivation, & access reviewsConfigure document types, disciplines, statuses, suitability codes, etc.Standardised project configuration as templatesManage project template types & revisionsDiagnose configuration & permissions issuesUnderstand the implications of changes to live environments
Requirements & SkillsIndustry Knowledge:
Strong background in architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), or Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows.
Standard Compliance: Knowledge of information management frameworks like ISO 19650.
Technical Skills: Experience with cloud-based document management systems and database structures.
Communication: Ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams and resolve data coordination problems
