You want a career in AI and automation but can’t seem to get the right opportunity. Maybe you’re already in a role where you can see better ways of doing things but haven’t had the chance to build those ideas. Or perhaps you’re early in your career, curious about AI, full of ideas and looking for the right place to get started.
Either way, this is a Marketing, Admin & Automation role that comes with world class training through Working Knowledge’s AI Savvy Academy. We’re looking for someone with curiosity, drive and the potential to become confident using AI, automation and data to solve real business problems.
About the Company Working Knowledge is working in partnership with a growing training and coaching business that helps ambitious trainers, facilitators and coaches build premium rate training businesses through a combination of strategy, marketing and delivery support.
The team is known for a hands on, high support way of working and runs regular masterclasses to support its clients. It is a small, close knit business, so you will have real visibility of how things work and a genuine opportunity to contribute from day one.
Alongside the role, you will train with Working Knowledge through our AI Savvy Academy, completing a Level 4 AI & Automation apprenticeship designed to help you develop practical skills in AI, automation, data, process improvement and change.
Role Overview This is a hands-on apprenticeship split across three connected areas of the business: marketing, admin and automation.
You’ll help plan and run marketing activity, keep the day-to-day admin of the business moving smoothly and, through the AI Savvy Academy Level 4 programme, learn to build and maintain automations and AI supported workflows that help a small team operate more efficiently.
This is a structured, process-driven role in a process-driven business: you’ll work through a consistent set of activities each week, giving you a solid routine to build from and plenty of chances to spot what can be automated. You’ll be trusted with real responsibility early on.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns across email, social and the website, including content creation and scheduling
- Help organise and promote the regular masterclasses and other client events
- Keep core business admin running smoothly – diary management, client records, correspondence and reporting
- Identify opportunities to build and maintain simple automations and AI-supported workflows that remove repetitive manual work across marketing and admin, and manage the projects to completion
- Use AI-assisted(“vibe”) coding to build new software tools, both for internal use and as commercial products sold to external customers. This is a significant and growing part of the role.
- Work with real AI tools day-to-day (beyond basic chatbot use) to speed up research, content drafts and data handling
- Test, document and troubleshoot the automations and workflows you build, so they keep working reliably
- Help track the impact of the marketing and automation work you deliver, feeding insight back into what the business does next
- Bring curiosity and ideas to the table – you’ll be encouraged to spot opportunities to improve how the team works, not just follow instructions
AI Academy Level 4 Training Alongside your role, you’ll study for the Artificial Intelligence and Automation Practitioner apprenticeship through Working Knowledge’s AI Savvy Academy, a structured, well supported programme built specifically for people learning to apply AI and automation in a real workplace.
Duration: around 15 months of practical training, plus end-point assessment
Format: an Induction and 2-day Bootcamp to start, then 11 modules delivered through a mix of Masterclasses, Drop-in sessions and 1:1 Surgeries, roughly every 5–6 weeks
Your Tutor:
a dedicated coach owns your journey from day one – tracking your progress, keeping you on top of compliance and evidence, and making sure the programme fits around your day job
Specialist trainers:
each module is led by a trainer who works in that area day-to-day, so you’re learning from people who actually do the job
Real projects, not theory: you’ll apply what you learn directly to live automation and AI projects inside the business, building a portfolio of genuine workplace evidence as you go
The 11 modules you’ll cover:
- Value Stream Mapping & Opportunity Identification
- Automation Engineering & Integration – Prototypes & Local Automations
- Automation Engineering & Integration – Integrated Workflows & Data Flows
- Automation Engineering & Integration – Testing & Hardening
- Strategic & Ethical AI Adoption
- Change Management – Driving Adoption to Create Value
- Training, Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
- Data, Dashboards & Evidence-Based Decisions – Build the First Dashboard
- Data, Dashboards & Evidence-Based Decisions – Insight, Storytelling & Value Cases
- Governance, Assurance & Compliance
- Change Management – Generating Value from Wider Adoption
Key Values
- Curiosity: you ask “why” and “what if”, and enjoy figuring out how things work
- Ownership: you follow things through and take pride in getting the detail right
- Adaptability: you’re comfortable when priorities shift and happy to learn as you go
- Communication: you can explain what you’re doing clearly to technical and non-technical people alike
- Team spirit: you pitch in, ask for help when you need it, and support the people around you
Ideal Candidate
- You have a technical bent and enjoy working out how a process or a tool actually works
- You’ve used AI tools for more than basic chat; you’re curious enough to have gone a bit further, even informally
- You’re organised and can manage your own workload without close supervision
- You communicate confidently, and aren’t afraid to ask questions, speak out if you spot errors or problems, or push back when something doesn’t make sense
- You’re comfortable with technology generally; you don’t need a coding background or formal AI qualifications, just a genuine interest in the subject
- You must have a minimum C /4 GCSE or equivalent in both Maths & English
- You’re eligible for apprenticeship funding: a UK or EU citizen who has lived in the UK/EEA for at least 3 years, and not already enrolled on another government-funded course
Working Hours, Pay & Location
- Hours: 40 hours per week, flexible around study commitments
- Pay: £18,000 per annum
- Holiday: 28 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays
- Location: Paulton, BS39 & hybrid working, typically 2–3 days a week in the office (more frequently during your first few months)
If you’re looking for a role where you’ll genuinely build things that matter, learn from people who do the job for real, and come out the other side with a recognised Level 4 qualification and a portfolio of live automation work, we’d love to hear from you.
We expect a high volume of applications for this role, but we’ll let every applicant know the outcome of their application.
