An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Democratic Services Team for an experienced and highly organised professional to lead the delivery of the Council’s committee’s function.
As Senior Democratic Services Officer – Committees, you will play a pivotal role in supporting local democracy and ensuring the effective governance of the Council. You will be responsible for managing the committees function, ensuring that Council, Cabinet, Committee, Sub-Committee and Panel meetings are conducted efficiently, legally and in accordance with constitutional and statutory requirements.
Working closely with Elected Members, senior officers and key stakeholders, you will help ensure high standards of governance and decision-making across the authority.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real contribution to the effective governance and democratic processes of the Council. You will work within a supportive team environment and have the opportunity to influence service improvements while developing your leadership and governance expertise.
