Overview

In this role you lead the Finance systems within CSOT, owning end-to-end functionality and system optimisations. You will partner with business stakeholders and the Managed Service Provider to shape the Finance landscape, drive improvements, and ensure value realisation from Oracle/SAP environments. You’ll manage a small team, oversee releases, and advocate best practices to maximise efficiency and data integrity. Your work directly supports the university’s financial operations, planning, and digitisation goals. This is an impact role at the intersection of technology, processes, and people.

Responsibilities

  • Lead workstream delivery with clear vision and successful outcomes
  • Maintain documentation for the functional area, including SLAs, OLAs, and backlog priorities
  • Manage defects, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution with the MSP
  • Develop SOPs, process maps, and training materials; maintain knowledge transfer
  • Create and manage functional roadmaps and bi-annual enhancement plans
  • Oversee data integrity and interfaces, ensuring quality and governance
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on changes, benefits realisation, and training
  • Release management for Oracle updates; ensure regression testing and production readiness
  • Know-how transfer and end-user support; maintain training resources
  • Lead a small team; set objectives, provide coaching, and manage performance
  • Maintain user roles, reporting requirements, and ensure self-sufficiency in the business

Key requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP or SAP
  • Oracle or SAP certification
  • Demonstrated experience leading or managing a team
  • Experience in complex delivery environments with multiple stakeholders
