Overview
You will contribute to flood risk assessment and drainage strategy for residential and commercial developments across the UK. You will work with clients, councils, architects and planning consultants to provide clear advice and planning support. You will lead projects, prepare fee proposals and contribute to masterplanning and drainage design. Responsibilities
- Conduct flood risk assessments and prepare drainage strategies for developments
- Design drainage schemes for residential and commercial projects
- Liaise with clients, council officers, architects and planning consultants to communicate recommendations
- Prepare fee proposals, manage and lead projects, and provide planning advice on flood risk and drainage
- Contribute to masterplanning layouts and design reviews
Key requirements
- Bachelor in Civil Engineering or Master in Civil Engineering (minimum qualification)
- Policy Framework (NPPF), CIRIA SuDS Design Manual, Sewer Sector Guidance and Building Regulations knowledge
- Experience with MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage for drainage design
- Experience preparing planning reports including Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports
- Strong written and verbal communication
