Overview
As Enterprise Portfolio Manager, you will lead ARU’s enterprise portfolio operations, aligning activities with sector best practice and the university’s strategic goals. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to grow commercial opportunities across STEM and SHAPE, working with Arise Innovation Hubs to maximise research impact. You will foster an entrepreneurial culture and support staff and students through effective communication, networking, and targeted training to embed enterprise across campuses. This role offers a chance to shape a growing Enterprise team and advance ARU’s innovation ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership for the enterprise portfolio and ensure activities align with best practice and ARU’s strategic objectives
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and manage commercial opportunities across STEM and SHAPE disciplines
- Work with Arise Innovation Hubs and commercial partners to maximise impact of research, innovation and expertise
- Foster an entrepreneurial culture across the University
- Support staff and students through communication, networking opportunities and targeted training to embed enterprise and innovation
- Oversee IP, commercialisation and licensing opportunities, and support staff spin-outs and start-ups
- Develop consultancy and knowledge exchange projects within the enterprise portfolio
Key requirements
- Experience of managing a diverse enterprise or commercialisation portfolio
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Experience in university technology transfer, research commercialisation or enterprise environment
- Ability to build effective relationships, manage multiple priorities and identify new opportunities
