We are seeking experienced
Cyber Security Analysts
to join a banking client, focusing on identifying, investigating, and responding to cyber threats targeting a complex financial services environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring security alerts, analysing suspicious activity, and enhancing the organisation’s ability to detect, prevent, and respond to cyber attacks.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and suspicious activity.Utilise
Splunk
to analyse logs, identify threats, and support incident investigations.Develop and maintain detection rules, alerts, and security monitoring controls.Research emerging cyber threats and recommend proactive mitigation measures.Investigate active security incidents and support incident response activities.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage, communicate, and report security incidents.Support audit, compliance, and risk management requirements within a regulated banking environment.Required Experience
Proven Experience in
cyber threat detection and incident response within a SOC environment .Strong hands-on Experience with
Splunk , including dashboard creation, alerting, reporting, and query development.Ability to analyse web, application, and security logs to identify malicious activity.Solid understanding of common cyber threats, including
web application attacks and network-based threats .Experience working across
Windows, Linux, and macOS
environments.Knowledge of
scripting, regular expressions, and network protocols .Strong investigative and analytical skills with the ability to respond to emerging threats effectively.Contract Details
