Overview
In this role you will lead laboratory work to characterize and de-risk therapeutic antibody and biopharmaceutical candidates within the Translational Developability group. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to design experiments that drive clear decision-making data in early discovery. The role combines hands-on lab work with scientific ownership and opportunities to develop technical and leadership capabilities, contributing to innovative therapies. You will help transform discovery leads into potential therapeutics while operating in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities
- Design and deliver antibody-based molecule characterization experiments using chromatography (SEC-HPLC, CIEX-HPLC), ELISA, and flow-based assays
- Analyze and interpret data to provide actionable recommendations to project teams
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to support programme progression and scientific decision making
- Maintain accurate experimental records and generate high-quality documentation including formal reports
- Contribute to assay development, qualification, and optimization to improve throughput and data quality
- Promote safe laboratory practices and support equipment and reagent management
Key requirements
- Advanced degree with relevant laboratory expertise (PhD or MSc) or BSc with equivalent experience
- Independence in analytical/biological techniques (immunoassay, flow cytometry, SEC-HPLC)
- Industry experience in Biotech/Pharma/CRO with large molecules; knowledge of antibody structure/function
- Experience working with human biological materials (serum/plasma)
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills with high attention to detail
