Overview
As a Cost Manager, you will help deliver high-profile energy projects by overseeing contract administration, cost monitoring and forecasting. You will partner with client and contractor teams to ensure cost control, KPI delivery and value engineering, while guiding governance and change management. This role sits in our Glasgow Cost Management team supporting hybrid work and a progressive career path. You’ll contribute to sustainable outcomes and broad sector experience in a dynamic, forward-looking consultancy.
Responsibilities
- Administer contracts in line with project objectives and policies
- Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion within budget
- Proactively track cost variance and cash flow; ensure timely and correct applications
- Collaborate with client and contractor teams on deliverables, KPIs, programme performance, and value engineering
- Manage contract changes effectively within governance and best practice
- Drive forecast and budget accuracy improvements
Key requirements
- Experience in the renewables sector (hydrogen, carbon capture)
- Degree or HNC level qualification
- Knowledge of NEC 3 / 4
