Overview

In this role you will provide high-level technical guidance across Data, Cloud and Software Development to support research-focused goals. You will work with cross-functional teams to align solutions with strategic objectives in a NHS-partnered healthcare research environment. Your insights will shape technology choices and implementations, influencing build vs buy decisions. This hands-off position leverages your breadth to steer the operational and strategic direction of the research service, contributing to impactful medical research initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to the group product manager across Data, Cloud and Software Development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions
• Influence technology decisions and implementation approaches
• Contribute to the operational and strategic direction of the research service
• Evaluate build vs buy options for technology solutions
• Support the research environment with broad technical input

Key requirements

• Working knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure
• Experience with data management tools such as Semarchy
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code
• Experience in a senior/lead technical advisory role
• Ability to engage with cross-functional teams and influence decisions
