Overview

In this role, you join EY’s Private Tax team in London/UK offices to advise a diverse client base on tax structuring, international tax issues, and management incentive plans. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects and maintain strong client relationships. The role offers exposure to cross-border tax work and opportunities to win new business while coaching junior staff and contributing to people initiatives. This is a chance to shape tax outcomes for private equity, owner-managed, and AIM-listed clients within a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain client relationships
• Proactively develop business to win new work
• Lead delivery of technically complex consulting projects with practical outcomes
• Provide development support to junior team members through supervision and mentoring
• Contribute to people initiatives including training and retention of staff

Key requirements

• ACA / CTA / Tax qualification / equivalent breadth of tax knowledge
• Strong tax technical skills
• Business development skills to identify and convert opportunities
• Experience coaching and developing junior staff

• Client relationship management
• Negotiation and handling challenging situations
• Effective written and oral communication
• Tax technical expertise across private client, employment tax, corporate tax backgrounds
• Experience with management incentive plans or share option structures
• Knowledge of AIM-listed, PE-backed, family-owned and OMB clients
