Technical Product Manager – Financial Data

Overview

In this role you will jointly drive the evolution of managed services for financial data clients, coordinating across internal and client teams to deliver standardized, scalable service delivery. You will oversee capacity, availability, and DevOps/SRE-aligned growth, while supporting pre- and post-sales activities and continuous improvement of offerings. Based in the City of London, the role combines technical stewardship with client-facing responsibilities to ensure value delivery for European clients. This is a high-impact position at a small, blue-chip finances-focused firm with strong training and development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver service improvement initiatives to standardize and harden a Managed Services business across technical infrastructure, applications, and service delivery
• Drive capacity and availability management initiatives
• Mentor the team in DevOps, CloudOps & SRE principles
• Support the sale of existing Managed Services
• Support delivery teams with oversight of critical activities
• Conduct audits, reviews, and problem management activities
• Research and recommend new Managed Services and refinements to existing offerings
• Perform cost analysis and identify efficiency improvements
• Oversee customer contractual services and service levels from pre-Sales to post production BAU
• Perform customer cost analysis and propose savings opportunities

Key requirements

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in banking, financial services or software product firms
• Overall 3-4 years’ experience supporting ASP or SaaS applications
• Understanding of Cloud methodologies
• Proficiency in ASP, SaaS, PaaS, Agile, AWS services
• Experience with public cloud architecture and containerized deployment
• Understanding of Unix/Linux platforms
• Database experience
• Strong data model understanding
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, logical skills and a team player
• Proven technical client management experience in the financial field
