Product Director – FinCrime & Operations Platform

Overview

As Product Director, you will own the Mitigation Platform that underpins risk, compliance, and financial operations at Wise. You lead a 30-person squad across three teams, guiding AI-augmented workflows and a scalable data engine for real-time risk insights. You shape end-to-end case handling, and drive automation to reduce manual effort while expanding Wise’s customer base. This role blends strategic platform thinking with hands-on execution to deliver a cohesive, high-velocity compliance platform.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a 2-year platform vision across three cross-functional teams
• Lead AI-augmented operations, partnering with Data Science to deploy automated decisioning and generative AI assistance
• Unify fragmented tooling into a cohesive platform, standardizing risk, QA, and WFM processes globally
• Drive alignment between global product teams, compliance officers, and floor managers to reduce cost to serve
• Operate as a player-coach, unblock architectural decisions and optimize operational workflows

Key requirements

• Platform/scale experience with complex internal platforms or B2B SaaS with high availability and low latency
• Knowledge of productizing data science, heuristics, predictive models, or LLM-based summarization
• Proven leadership in hiring, onboarding, and mentoring PMs (ICs and Leads)
• Relentless data-driven approach with SQL/data tools to identify bottlenecks and measure ROI of automation
• Consumer-grade mindset for internal tools: strong UX and ergonomics for analysts
