Sales System Engineer (VCSP)

Overview

In this role you will partner with field sales to articulate Veeam’s data and AI protection solutions to partners and end users. You’ll translate business needs into technical requirements, deliver engaging demos, and manage the technical evaluation phase as a trusted advisor. This role involves travel and close collaboration with product teams to incorporate customer feedback, driving value across the sales cycle. You join a fast-paced, cross-functional environment that rewards technical storytelling and hands-on problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Translate business objectives into technical requirements for customers and partners
• Create and deliver presentations, demonstrations, and content for varying audiences
• Lead the technical evaluation stage as main technical advisor for Veeam solutions
• Provide pre-sales assistance (POCs, Hands-on Labs, Bootcamps) to evaluating customers
• Record engagements and maintain CRM data (Salesforce)
• Collaborate with Veeam partners and training activities with VARs
• Support lead generation activities through events, webinars, and user groups
• Feed customer feedback to Product Development and Engineering
• Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and ROI tools like TCO/ROI calculators

Key requirements

• Pre-sales IT experience
• Prior experience with Veeam solutions (advantageous)
• VMCE certification advantageous (VMCE/VMCA available after joining)
• Deep virtualization experience (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV)
• Experience with SANs, hyper-converged storage, networking
• Cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of SaaS platforms (Office 365, Salesforce)
• Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to groups
• Willingness to travel within the UK & Ireland
• Self-starter, quick learner, adaptable to fast-paced environments
