Overview

In this role you drive delivery on urban drainage and wastewater projects within a leading global water team. You’ll supervise tasks, review deliverables and grow the team’s urban drainage modelling capability. You’ll support client relationships, contribute to proposals, and promote WSP’s brand through industry forums. The position blends technical leadership with development of junior engineers and cross-team collaboration to deliver high-quality, efficient solutions.

Responsibilities

  • manage project delivery and supervise tasks and deliverables
  • develop and advance urban drainage modelling capability
  • train and develop junior team members
  • support local technical delivery team management
  • provide technical input on urban drainage and wastewater projects
  • exercise independent engineering judgement and propose innovative solutions
  • cultivate client relationships and coordinate project meetings
  • participate in business development and proposal preparation
  • promote the WSP brand at industry events and forums
  • contribute to knowledge sharing within the team

Key requirements

  • relevant degree and Chartered status or substantial progress towards ICE/IEI/IoW/CIWEM
  • experience of wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM) and ability to review others’ outputs
  • working knowledge of Water Industry Specifications, Code of Practice for Hydraulic Modelling of Urban Drainage Systems and relevant British Standards
  • strong presentation, written and verbal communication in English
