ER Advisor

Overview

In this interim ER Advisor role, you will provide expert employee relations guidance in a fast-paced, regulated setting. You’ll work closely with management and staff to ensure fair, compliant handling of ER matters and help mitigate employment risk. You’ll support organisational change initiatives within the HR team and promote best practices in employee management on site. This role offers visibility at senior levels and a chance to shape a positive workplace culture within a global, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead management and resolution of employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with employment law and policies
• Support managers on disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, and performance issues
• Conduct investigations, hearings, and appeals; coach managers and prepare documents
• Provide pragmatic, risk-based advice to minimise legal and organisational exposure
• Support organisational change initiatives, including restructuring and consultation processes

Key requirements

• Degree or higher level in HR, Employment Law, or relevant field
• Proven ER case handling experience in a regulated manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation, ACAS codes of practice, and case law
• Experience supporting managers through disciplinary, grievance, and performance processes, with ability to influence senior stakeholders
