Overview
In this role you support the Contract SHE functions by enabling the Group SHE Management System across contracts, helping teams comply with safety, health and environmental standards. You build relationships with stakeholders and provide an independent view of SHE performance. You may train and coach contract teams and supply chain contractors to deliver the Contract SHE requirements. You contribute to the annual SHE objectives and use data to drive improvement while ensuring regulatory and company obligations are met. This is an opportunity to shape safety, health and environmental performance within Costain’s smart infrastructure initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support Contract Leadership Team, Clients and stakeholders in compliance with the Group SHE Management System and Contract SHE Performance
- Deliver training to enable contract teams to implement the Group SHE Management System
- Coach and support Contract Operational and Supply Chain Contractors in delivering Contract SHE requirements
- Assist in ongoing assessment of Contract Supply Chain Contractors
- Support the delivery of the annual Contract and Group SHE Objectives
- Engage with the Contract SHE Assurance programme to ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements
- Support investigation of unplanned events and close out assurance findings with lessons learned per the Group SHE Management System
- Support timely reporting and analysis of SHE data to influence Contract Leadership Team and develop data-based improvement plans
