Security Specialist SA, EMEA Security and Compliance Specialist SA

Overview

As a Security Specialist Solutions Architect at AWS, you will act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers across the EMEA region, guiding them on security, compliance, and cloud efficiency. You will shape secure reference architectures and contribute to AWS security content and best practices. The role blends hands-on design with thought leadership, including public speaking and workshops to accelerate secure cloud adoption. You will work cross-functionally with service teams and partners to influence roadmaps and drive customer success.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the customer’s trusted security advisor, guiding adoption of AWS security services (IAM, VPC, KMS, CloudHSM, AWS Organizations, Artifact, WAF)
• Collaborate with account, training, and support teams to enable customers and partners to build on AWS
• Contribute thought leadership through external content (blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures) and public engagements
• Share customer insights with AWS service teams and help shape the security roadmap
• Create field enablement materials and workshops to empower other SAs, TAMs, and partners
• Coordinate with specialist SAs across Big Data, Databases, Analytics, AI, and Modern Apps to enable large-scale use cases
• Respond to specialist requests via SpecReq, run Cloud Acceleration Journeys, and facilitate CISO circles with executives
• Lead or support security hardening initiatives and adoption of AI in a secure manner
• Engage with customers at executive to developer levels and translate needs into actionable guidance

Key requirements

• Bachelor in computer science, engineering or mathematics
• Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in software or internet industries
• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executives
• Experience with security, cloud computing, networking, data & analytics or related domains

• Strong communication and presentation abilities

• IAM, VPC, KMS, CloudHSM, AWS Organizations, Artifact, WAF
• Knowledge of SAP systems and architecture is advantageous
