Overview

As BIM Coordinator for the HS2 Track infrastructure project, you will act as the Rail System Alliance’s SME for CAD and BIM tools and data management. You will support the ProjectWise and Information Manager, ensuring high-quality, compliant digital information and workflows across teams and supply chains. You’ll lead information management standards, templates and QA checks, coordinating multi-disciplinary data and new digital tools adoption. Responsibilities

  • Act as SME for CAD and BIM information management and provide technical guidance, support and training
  • Ensure digital information is produced, shared, published and assured per RSA, HS2, and project info management requirements
  • Coordinate Contractor BIM Execution Plans to align with RSA objectives
  • Support data structures, information workflows, CDE administration and ProjectWise environments
  • Develop and promote information management standards, templates, workflows and structured data requirements
  • Carry out QA checks on CAD and BIM deliverables for accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor information issues and non-conformances and coordinate resolution with teams
  • Oversee supply chain information outputs to ensure adherence to procedures and templates
  • Support information sharing across Rail System Contracts, including escalations, workshops, progress tracking and reporting
  • Coordinate testing activities for new digital tools, CAD applications, software updates and information management processes
  • Assist with the rollout of new technologies, workflows and processes to improve efficiency and information quality
  • Provide accurate management of CAD data, CDE configurations and ProjectWise environments
  • Ensure CAD and BIM deliverables meet quality, compliance, assurance, and governance requirements
  • Achieve CAD/digital tool implementation with minimal defects and improved process standardisation

Key requirements

  • Experience with Common Data Environments (CDEs), including ProjectWise (PWise) and iTwin
  • Proficiency with CAD/BIM tools such as MicroStation, Revit, OpenRoads, OpenRail, Navisworks
  • Experience validating asset information with tools like AIMS and IFC model validation
  • Knowledge of data transformation, QA and analysis tools (FME, Power BI)
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design information and resolving issues via Navisworks Manager or similar
  • Understanding of BIM standards, digital engineering workflows, and information management best practices
  • Strong BIM coordination and information management experience in complex infrastructure projects
