Overview
In this role you will lead the Quality Assurance function at the Cheltenham site, shaping quality strategy and delivering compliance and continuous improvement. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to meet SQCDP targets, reduce cost of quality, and develop a high-performing quality culture. You will partner with NPD, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to align quality with business goals. This is a strategic, impact-driven leadership position in a collaborative, innovation-focused environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead the Quality Assurance function across the Cheltenham site with strategic direction
- Drive quality excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement to meet business objectives
- Coach and develop a team of ~19 quality associates
- Collaborate cross-functionally with NPD, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Production
- Own and improve the quality system and external third-party accreditations
- Lead plans to reduce Cost of Quality and monitor quality performance and compliance
- Define and control capital expenditure related to quality
- Support continuous improvement, Kaizen, and site leadership activities
- Communicate project status, risks, and readiness to senior stakeholders
Key requirements
- 8+ years in a quality or engineering leadership role within manufacturing/assembly
- Experience with six sigma, quality systems, lean principles, automation, capital planning, and NPD frameworks
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to assess risk and make decisions under time and cost pressure
- Confident decision maker with strong delivery focus
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Comfortable balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution
- Collaborative leadership style and ability to influence across functions
- Desirable: Bachelor and/or Masters Degree aligned to operations or related technical field
