Overview
In this role you will provide strategic and operational leadership across Harm Outside the Home, Edge of Care and Emotional Wellbeing Services to improve outcomes for children, young people and families. You will manage a portfolio handling complex adolescent needs and lead teams to ensure safe, high-quality practice. You will work with partners to deliver an integrated, timely, outcome-focused safeguarding and wellbeing response. This is an opportunity to shape council services and drive continuous improvement in a cross-functional setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across the portfolio of services
- Line management, supervision and development of Team Managers and Service Leads
- Set clear delivery expectations and ensure workforce planning and deployment
- Safeguarding oversight and responses to exploitation, missing children, serious youth violence and related risks
- Monitor performance, quality assurance and use data to drive improvement
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with multi-agency partners and coordinate responses for complex needs
- Lead service development, transformation and resource management with a focus on value for money
- Engage with children, young people and families to inform service design and evaluation
