Overview
In this role you will produce practical, differentiated research for Chief Compliance Officers and support senior client discussions on transforming compliance programs amid evolving regulations. You will stay ahead of regulatory developments, shape risk frameworks, and leverage data analytics to optimize compliance. You’ll engage daily with clients, contribute at Gartner events, and help maintain Gartner’s leadership in compliance and AI-enabled insights. You drive actionable guidance that informs executive decisions and organizational integrity.

Responsibilities
- Author research for publication and support client conversations on compliance transformation
- Analyze changing regulatory environments and advise on policy adaptation
- Design and enhance enterprise compliance frameworks and monitoring systems
- Develop risk strategies and regulatory risk frameworks
- Leverage data analytics to improve risk assessments and monitoring
- Engage with clients via calls, video, and events; assist with press inquiries as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, ERM, Finance, and Internal Audit
- Travel <10% as needed for team offsites and Gartner conferences
Key requirements
- 10+ years in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles, with recent experience as deputy or divisional chief compliance officer/senior leader
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in economics, business or international studies) or equivalent experience
- Experience advising leadership on compliance priorities with actionable recommendations
- Strong ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative evidence for executive-ready narratives
- Cross-functional collaboration with Legal, ERM, Finance or Internal Audit
- Conducting compliance risk Assessments and monitoring; tracking regulatory changes
- Experience supporting governance initiatives and implementing enterprise compliance frameworks
- Excellent verbal and written communication; executive presence; ability to tailor style for audiences
- Ability to thrive in a matrixed organization and travel up to 10%
