Groundworker
Location: Guildford, SurreyStart: ASAPDuration: Until October/November 2026Hours: 07:30 – 17:30, Monday to FridayPaid Hours: 9.5 hours per day
Red Sky Personnel are recruiting for 3 experienced Groundworkers / Pipe Layers to join a busy civil engineering project in Shamley Green, Guildford.
We are specifically looking for experienced groundworkers with a minimum of 10 years’ experience. You must be confident working independently and have strong, demonstrable experience in pipe laying, drainage and general groundworks.
Duties will include:
- Pipe laying and drainage works
- Installation of underground services
- Excavation and trench preparation
- Working around manholes and drainage systems
- Bedding, laying and backfilling pipes
- General groundworks and civil engineering duties
- Working safely alongside plant and site teams
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years’ groundworks experience
- Strong pipe laying and drainage experience
- Valid CSCS/CPCS qualification as applicable
- Valid EUSR qualification as applicable
- Previous experience on civil engineering/infrastructure projects
- Able to provide references demonstrating relevant groundworks experience
- Reliable and able to work as part of an experienced site team
This role is not suitable for labourers or inexperienced groundworkers. Candidates must have substantial hands-on groundworks and pipe laying experience and will be expected to demonstrate their ability on site.
