Overview
In this role, you will drive cost management and commercial performance on major UK infrastructure programs. You’ll work within a cross-functional team to deliver value for money and data-driven decisions, shaping contracts and procurement for large-scale projects. You’ll engage with NEC-based contracts, post-contract activities, and cost forecasting to improve project outcomes. This is a growth-focused opportunity to develop towards chartered status while working on high-impact infrastructure across airports, utilities, and transport.

Responsibilities
- Manage and assist on commercial contracts, procurement, and negotiations in NEC environment
- Lead post-contract commercial activities: payment approvals, cost assessments, contract changes
- Support contractors with transparent, data-driven processes
- Identify cost-saving strategies and optimize contract performance
- Provide data-driven cost management insights to support decision-making
- Support value-for-money objectives and compliance with commercial strategies
- Coordinate tendering processes: strategy, tender docs, evaluations, and contract preparation
- Post-contract QS activities: interim payments, cost reporting, change control, cost forecasting
- Attend progress meetings and support dispute resolution and contract close-out strategies
Key requirements
- Quantity Surveying & Estimating experience, ideally in large-scale infrastructure
- Degree-qualified and working towards or holding chartered status
- Familiarity with NEC contracts and cost management best practices
- Proactive problem-solving and collaborative mindset
- Ability to adapt to challenges and work with cross-functional teams
