In this role you will manage a patient caseload in a primary care setting, delivering high-quality care to registered and temporary patients. You will be part of a GP team focused on comprehensive assessment, treatment, and prevention within the community. Expect to handle a mix of clinic, telephone, and home visits, with an emphasis on evidence-based care and patient education. Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload and provide a range of GP duties in primary care
- Conduct surgery and telephone consultations, home visits, and handle prescriptions and related queries
- Make autonomous clinical decisions for presenting problems
- Assess undifferentiated health needs and screen for disease risks
- Develop and adapt care plans with patients following current protocols
- Provide counselling and health education
- Admit/discharge patients from the caseload and refer to other providers as appropriate
- Record clear consultation notes and collect data for audit
- Issue computer-generated prescriptions and prescribe per formulary
- Fulfill the general duties of a GP in primary care
- Ensure compliance with practice policies and participate in audits
Key requirements
- GMC Registration
- Experience of working in a Primary Care setting
- UK Registration (required)
- Experience in prescribing and patient management in primary care
- Commitment to continuing professional development
