Area Sales Manager

Overview

As Area Sales Manager for the S postcode area, you drive growth by selling the full Linde range to diverse business customers, while maintaining service levels and retaining clients. You collaborate with other departments to ensure quality delivery and successful quotes, including site surveys and product demonstrations. You will target volume, market share, and coverage, and provide accurate forecasts to support sales planning. This is a role at a global leader that rewards performance and growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage and expand relationships with existing customers to generate new business
• Achieve volume targets, grow market share, and ensure market coverage
• Plan prospecting activities and maintain required sales activity levels
• Provide accurate weekly sales forecasts and pipeline updates
• Identify customer needs and conduct site surveys
• Prepare accurate quotes and present financial solutions
• Ensure complete and clean order packs for Sales Administration
• Demonstrate products as appropriate to support sales
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on service levels and customer retention

Key requirements

• Direct sales experience (B2B)
• Industry experience is a strong ideal, but Capital Equipment or Engineering experience will be considered
• Commercially minded with strong business acumen
• PC literate
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
