Overview

In this Manager ETD Operations role, you lead Exchange Traded Derivatives operations for multiple franchises, ensuring timely post-trade processing and risk control. You will partner with Technology and Front Office teams to drive transformation and standardise processes globally. You act as a trusted advisor to Sales and Trading desks, focusing on lifecycle events, reconciliations, and data-driven improvement. The role offers hands-on exposure to diverse commodity and derivatives products in a fast-paced, regulated environment. You’ll contribute to a scalable ETDOps model and engage with global hubs.

Responsibilities

  • Support House Franchises across Business lines trading Exchange Traded Derivatives
  • Own query remediation, trade lifecycle processing, and risk-minimising escalations
  • Understand Futures & Options lifecycle across Rates, Commodities, FX, Equities; SME and go-to for core systems processing
  • Drive continuous improvement and partner with Technology to deliver transformation
  • Coordinate with FM to identify process improvements and drive efficiency
  • Act as primary Operations contact for Sales and Trading Desks; insulate FM from post-execution processing
  • Build Front Office relationships and enable new business initiatives
  • Close knowledge gaps within Global Team via hands-on training
  • Monitor daily KPIs against SLA; engage with vendors and industry bodies to improve processes
  • Oversee regulatory compliance and audits; ensure timely remediation of audit points

Key requirements

  • Subject matter expert on Exchange Traded Derivatives with front-to-back process understanding
  • ETD trade, position and cash reconciliations including fees & commissions
  • Knowledge of expiry and trade lifecycle is desirable
  • Minimum 3 years Financial Markets experience, ideally from a top-tier bank
  • Strong understanding of commodities products (Base Metals, Precious Metals, Structured Inventory) and related energy products
  • Knowledge of Carbon Emissions and Voluntary Carbon Credits; ICE Endex and CBL experience desirable
  • Analytical and process-improvement mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to influence Front Office and global hubs
  • Teamwork orientation; detail-oriented in fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency in vendor systems (ION XTP, FIS, GMI or equivalent); Bloomberg, Murex v2.11/v3.1 preferable; LME SMART, LME SELECT, ICE Admin/FEC/ICE ECS, CME Deliveries Plus/FEC; Excel advanced
